Community Bible Study

Come see what happens in people’s lives when they discover God through the study of His Word, the Bible. Our classes meet weekly during the school year. Each class participant receives a course book with a commentary and home study questions. Each week, you’ll participate in small group discussions and a large group teaching. From time to time, fellowship meals will provide special times of sharing and relationship building within the class. The vision of CBS is to see lives transformed through the Word of God, and our mission is to make disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ in our communities through caring, in-depth Bible study, available to all.

ABOUT THE CLASS

This is a Women's Class

MON at 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

This upcoming school year CBS will be 50 years old! To celebrate we will be studying the old testament book of PSALMS! Come join us as we learn more about the heart of King David and the music that celebrates our LORD!

Currently Studying: Matthew

This year's study is in the New Testament, the book of Matthew. We offer classes for women and children of all ages.

We meet at First Baptist Church Columbiana on Mondays starting at 10 am. (Be sure to arrive by 9:45 if you are new to our group or need to get kiddos settled in before class.) We meet during the school year and are still accepting new participants for the upcoming year. We will begin classes on Monday August 19 and say goodbye for the summer on Monday, April 28, 2025. We hope you'll join us!

Next Gen Ministry

Through a variety of activities such as Bible teaching, Scripture memory work, crafts, worship, games, and other activities, we seek to provide a welcoming and engaging environment where the next generations can learn about Jesus. Our offerings are tailored to a child’s developmental stage, starting with babies, and going through high school. Beginning in our elementary classes, our curriculum can be aligned with an adult class so that parents and their children may study the same book of the Bible, enabling parents additional opportunities to assist their children in living out God’s truths in their lives.

Women's Ministry: On Monday mornings we have in-depth Bible Study which includes time for prayer, discussion, teaching, and commentary in a caring community where all are welcome (all generations, all ages, all denominations)! Making friends who will join you in learning more about who God is, getting to know the members of your community, finding sanctuary among a group of wonderful ladies are all good reasons you may want to join us. Anyone who wants to know how the Bible relates to their life today will find a home at CBS.
