Come see what happens in people’s lives when they discover God through the study of His Word, the Bible. Our classes meet weekly during the school year. Each class participant receives a course book with a commentary and home study questions. Each week, you’ll participate in small group discussions and a large group teaching. From time to time, fellowship meals will provide special times of sharing and relationship building within the class. The vision of CBS is to see lives transformed through the Word of God, and our mission is to make disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ in our communities through caring, in-depth Bible study, available to all. We can't wait to see what our Lord is doing in our communities through this powerful study with 30 lessons in Genesis and the book of Job (for the last 6 weeks)!

ABOUT THE CLASS

This is a Women's Class

MON at 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

This year CBS Columbiana will be studying in the Old Testament! We will spend the first 30 weeks studying the book of Genesis and then move to the book of Job for the last 6 weeks. We plan to finish the Genesis study in the 2027-2028 class if the LORD tarries. Come join us as we learn more about "beginnings" and then study what is likely the oldest book, Job. We meet at First Baptist Church in Columbiana on Mondays when school is in session beginning at 10 am. Come a few minutes early and enjoy a cup of coffee/hot chocolate/ tea, a snack and lots of friendly greetings!

Currently Studying: Job, Genesis

We have just completed the study in the book of Psalms and it was amazing. Some lessons seemed harder than others but I noticed as I studied that it got easier toward the end. The last lesson, Number 30, was titled "The Hallelujah Chorus" and rightly so. The book of Psalms ends with chapter after chapter of PRAISE THE LORD! Come be blessed with us through the upcoming study in Genesis and Job which will begin the Monday after Labor Day in September..

Next Gen Ministry

Through a variety of activities such as Bible teaching, Scripture memory work, crafts, worship, games, and other activities, we seek to provide a welcoming and engaging environment where the next generations can learn about Jesus. Our offerings are tailored to a child’s developmental stage, starting with babies, and going through high school. Beginning in our elementary classes, our curriculum can be aligned with an adult class so that parents and their children may study the same book of the Bible, enabling parents additional opportunities to assist their children in living out God’s truths in their lives.

Women's Ministry: On Monday mornings we have in-depth Bible Study which includes time for prayer, discussion, teaching, and commentary in a caring community where all are welcome (all generations, all ages, all denominations)! Making friends who will join you in learning more about who God is, getting to know the members of your community, finding sanctuary among a group of wonderful ladies are all good reasons you may want to join us. Anyone who wants to know how the Bible relates to their life today will find a home at CBS.
